Course Overview and Goals
The World of Computing course is a first-year computer science course introducing the basics of programming and the history and impact of computing. Students will learn to code using blocks to drag and drop, but they can switch between blocks and text as desired. With a special focus on creativity, problem-solving and project-based learning, World of Computing gives students the opportunity to explore several important topics of computing using their own ideas and creativity to develop an interest in computer science that will foster further endeavors in the field.

Course Overview and Goals
Career & Technical Education (CTE) Programs develops and maintain educational programs that prepare individuals for occupations important to Florida’s economic development. These programs are organized into 17 different career clusters and are geared toward middle school, high school, district technical school, and Florida College System students throughout the state.
Third Nine Weeks
